Sound Therapist and Profiligist

I, Noeline Levinson was trained 1985. I had the good fortune to be able to be in Paris with Professor A. Tomatis to complete my own programme for Dyslexia. I then trained with Beulah Levinson in Cape Town. I have been working with Filtered Sound Therapy for the past 38 years. I have worked with adults too, but mainly have focused my attention on helping children with learning and behavioural challenges.

I have studied many modalities over the past 38 years and this helps me to pin point various factors that could be contributing to a child's challenges.

I studied Brain Profiling 21 years ago. This is a very valuable tool
in determining what happens to individuals when they are stressed. read more...

I am passionate about this work, and love to see people young and old fulfilling their potential.

The Integrated Approach To Learning Difficulties
Does Your Child Struggle With Concentration or Learning?
Do you sense there is more going on than you’ve been told?

Would you like an explanation that actually makes sense — instead of another label?

Many children are given labels such as: ADD / ADHD Auditory Processing Difficulties (APD)
Dyslexia, Low muscle tone, Autism spectrum traits Hypersensitivity to sound or sensory input
Difficulty following instructions
Tactile defensiveness
Low self-esteem or anxiety Depression

These labels describe what is seen, but not always why it’s happening.

A Deeper, Integrated Assessment
At Family-Focus, I offer a comprehensive assessment process designed to understand your child as a whole — emotionally, physically, and neurologically.
Assessments include:
  1. Listening Test and Tree Test
  2. Genetic Brain Dominance Profile
  3. Detailed case history
“We are dynamic beings — we require dynamic solutions.”
How This Helps Your Child
Through this integrated assessment approach, you will:
  • Gain clear, in-depth insight into how your child functions
  • Understand why your child is experiencing these challenges
  • Identify contributing factors across emotional, physical, and neurological levels
The key is not a single diagnosis, but understanding the multiple influences affecting your child. A multidisciplinary perspective allows meaningful support — rather than symptom management alone.
